One True God

One True God

We believe in one eternal, self-existent God—Creator of heaven and earth—who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the great "I AM," relational and holy. 📖 Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He came to earth to redeem humanity, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and is now exalted at the right hand of the Father. Through Him alone we are saved. 📖 Matthew 28:6; Hebrews 1:3; John 14:6; Romans 10:9

The Fall of Man

We believe humanity was created in the image of God, good and upright. However, through disobedience, man fell into sin, resulting in spiritual and physical death and separation from God. 📖 Genesis 1:26–27; Genesis 3:6

Salvation Through Christ

Salvation Through Christ

Salvation is available only through Jesus Christ. By His death and resurrection, we receive forgiveness of sins and the hope of eternal life. We are saved by grace through faith—not by works. 📖 Ephesians 2:8–9; John 11:25

Water Baptism

Water Baptism

We believe in baptism by full immersion, as commanded in Scripture. It is a public declaration of faith in Jesus, symbolizing our death to sin and resurrection to new life. 📖 Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4

Who we are

Resurgence Church is a Spirit-led, Christ-centered community devoted to discipling believers, restoring families, and transforming neighborhoods through the power and presence of God.

Founded by Preston and Tanya Jongbloed, Resurgence Church was birthed under the apostolic covering of Apostle Theo Roman and the leadership of Westreach Assembly of God—a ministry recognized for raising and releasing leaders across South Africa. Our church is aligned with the Assemblies of God Association of South Africa (AOGASA).

After more than a decade of faithful service at Westreach, Preston and Tanya responded to a fresh stirring from the Lord—to step out in obedience and plant what would become Resurgence Church.
